Middle-blocker Otávio plays for Sada Cruzeiro for the fifth consecutive season in 2023/24.
At the beginning of 2023/24,he became five-time Mineiro’s Champion with Sada Cruzeiro.
In the 2022/23 season he was champion of Mineiro, Supercopa, bronze medal in the Club World Championship, and also champion of the Copa Brasil, South American and Superliga.
In the 2021/22 season, the player won five titles with the club: the Campeonato Mineiro, the Supercopa, the Club World Championship, the South American Championship and the Superliga.
He arrived in 2019/20 and was South American champion in 2020 and two-time Copa Brasil champion in 2020 and 2021, as well as four-time champion of Minas Gerais (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022), champion of the Club World Cup in 2021 and silver in 2019. He was two-time Supercup champion (2021 and 2022), and runner-up in 2019 and 2020. He was champion of the 2018/19 Superliga with Taubaté, where he was also four-time champion of São Paulo, with titles won in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. In the 2016/17 edition he was also champion of the Copa Brasil with Taubaté, in addition to second place in the Superliga, in the final against Sada Cruzeiro.
Having been called up to the main Brazilian team, Otávio also played on all youth teams. He won gold at the U23 World Cup in 2017. In 2013, with the youth team, he was champion of the Pan-American Cup in Mexico. He was also South American Youth Champion in 2010, when he was voted the best blocker.
