“It is very important for us to leave Poland with this trophy, among the best in the world, representing our team and our project well. This World Championship was really tough, with great teams and players. This is an important result and we should celebrate it because it was not easy”, said coach Marcelo Mendez.

“We made it to the semifinals in all the Club World Championships we competed in. We are talking about a very tough tournament with experienced players. Almost every team in the competition could have been the winner. So we are happy to get the bronze medal. Of course our wish was to have won again, but this medal crowns our work. We played most of the games well and we had to get over the previous match in order to fight for the third place. After losing the semifinal, we needed to find the energy to come here and play well. Now, we can go home and feel happy about our performance”, said libero Serginho.

Sada Cruzeiro’s team starts the trip back to Brazil this Monday morning and arrives on Tuesday morning.
