If the cold in Opole, Poland, was about 1°C during Sada Cruzeiro’s game this Wednesday, inside the gymnasium the crowd made it feel warm. Among the Polish fans, a Brazilian group stood up and cheered for the blue team, helping it get to defeat the Iranian Sarmayeh Bank. In the end, the score was 3-0 to Sada Cruzeiro, that got the job done as much as the fans in the stand.

“Watching Cruzeiro play any sport is always amazing. But cheering for volleyball is kind of hard! In the first set, I was already almost hoarse. For several months, I had planned to come to Poland. Being able to watch a multi-champion team such as Sada Cruzeiro is terrific”, said Fabrízio Sartorelli, a Brazilian fan who’s been living in Italy for 11 years now and arrived in Poland this Wednesday just to follow Sada Cruzeiro at the Club World Championship.

In the next match this Thursday, Dec 14th, Sada Cruzeiro’s fans will have a harder task, considering the game is against the host Zaksa Kedzierzyn-Kozle. The game starts at 2:30pm (Brasília time) and 5:30pm local time and only the victory matters. The winner makes it to the semifinals with the Italian Civitanova. In the other group, which plays in the city of Lodz, Zenit Kazan and the Polish Skra Belchatow are ensured in the next phase. The semifinals and the finale will be played in Krakow.
