Sada Cruzeiro players and coaching staff met on April 16th, at a restaurant in Belo Horizonte. The event officially closed the 2018/19 season activities when outside hitter Taylor Sander, who will be transferred to Russia, took the opportunity to say goodbye to the group. Playing for Sada Cruzeiro Sander won the Mineiro, Copa Brasil, and the South American Clubs Championship. Despite having to leave, Sander stated he wants to come back to defend the blue team and be the champion of the Brazilian main tournament.
“I was very happy here, my family and I were very well received and I really liked everyone, the fans, the people I met here in Brazil. The Superliga title was not possible and I would love to return to Sada Cruzeiro to win this important trophy. I really wanted to continue here and if I ever played in Brazil again, it would only be for Sada Cruzeiro. It is a club where I was very happy, people welcomed me very well, I made friends and I really enjoyed playing with my colleagues and Sada Cruzeiro’s professionals. I hope to be back soon”, Sander said.
